If you are not staying at Wilderness Hotel Kieppi, please come to the meeting point 30 minutes before the activity starts. So you have time to receive your winter equipment and change.

We recommend wearing basic thermal layers underneath (wool or fleece). When temperatures drop very low (around -20°C), it’s best to keep your own jacket and pants under the overall for extra warmth.
Parents should ensure children are dressed properly with enough warm underlayers. Pay special attention to hands and toes—they need extra protection in cold weather.
-
We recommend booking in advance. During high season, some tours may be fully booked if you wait until arrival. You can easily book through our website or send us an inquiry by email.
-
We care deeply about the well-being of our dogs and take steps to prevent unwanted pregnancies, so puppies aren’t always with us year-round.
-
Group sizes vary depending on the activity and season:
- Husky Safari: Usually 16–20 adults, and the group may be larger if families with children join.
- Snowmobile Tours: Typically between 8–16 participants
Group sizes can increase during peak times like Christmas and the February winter holidays, and may be smaller during quieter periods such as early winter and spring.
-
Our tours are guided in English, and we kindly ask guests to have a basic understanding of English to follow instructions. This is important for everyone’s safety, as clear communication is essential in case of an emergency.
If a guest does not speak or understand English at all, the guide will make the final decision on whether it’s safe for them to join the safari.
-
Our standard rates are per person, based on two people sharing one snowmobile.
If your group has an uneven number of participants, snowmobiles will still be shared unless a single supplement is added.
If you’d like to drive your own snowmobile, simply select the single driver supplement during the online booking process.
-
Yes. According to Finnish law, you can drive a snowmobile if you have a valid driving license with a classification of at least T, A1, A, or B. This means you must be over 18 years old and hold a license to drive a car or motorcycle.
Important: Always bring your driver’s license on snowmobile safaris, as security checks may occur.
If you do not have a driving license or do not want to drive a snowmobile, you can still join our snowmobile tours when sitting in sleigh pulled by our guide snowmobile.
-
In case you damage a snowmobile, our huskies or a sledge during the tours, the maximum fee for self-liability is 1000€
We offer an optional Waiver for 25 € per person, per activity (available for adults).
This waiver significantly reduces your self-liability from 1,000 € to 150 € in the event of an accident.
If you participate in more than one snowmobiling or husky experience, please remember to book the waiver for each activity individually. -
For your safety and comfort, snowmobile and husky safaris are not suitable for pregnant guests. The uneven terrain can cause strong bumps and vibrations, and snowmobile exhaust fumes may pose additional risks.
To avoid any potential complications, we warmly recommend choosing one of our many alternative experiences that offer a gentler pace and just as much magic.
If you have any specific health concerns or personal considerations, we kindly ask that you inform us in advance so we can help you choose the most suitable activities.
-
We welcome children aged 4 years and older to join all our activities.
For safety reasons:
- Infants (0–2 years) cannot participate in any activities.
- Children aged 2–3 years are recommended for shorter activities, and extreme weather conditions should be considered.
Snowmobile tours:
Children under 15 years old will ride in a sleigh for safety.Children’s discounts:
- 2–3 years old: Free of charge (must share a sleigh with a parent during snowmobile tours and husky safaris).

The best time to see the Northern Lights is from late August to mid-April, when the nights are dark enough for them to be visible. Weather conditions play a big role—clear skies are ideal, but thanks to Lapland’s microclimates, there’s often a chance to spot the Aurora even when it’s partly cloudy.
Our guides will do their best to find the Northern Lights, but ultimately, it’s up to nature and a bit of luck.
Because sightings cannot be guaranteed, we unfortunately do not offer refunds for Northern Lights tours.
-
The booking is non-refundable from the moment the confirmation has been sent out by email.
N.B. If the reason for cancellation is due to proven injury or illness sustained by you or your party we may, but are not obliged to, offer an alternative date to be taken up within 6 months of the original booking date. We will, whenever possible, try to accommodate any amendments you may request after the contract is formed. Amendment requests must be issued in writing to us by the party leader.
The arrangements detailed in the booking document are given in good faith, but we reserve the right to provide comparable alternative arrangements if optional or other considerations so dictate. No employee or representative has the authority to verbally vary these terms and conditions or to enter into verbal agreements with clients. No variation in these conditions or otherwise in the terms upon which a booking is made, and no promise to refund money previously paid to us, shall be valid unless in writing and approved by the sales office. If we make a major change to a booking, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
You will be able to choose whether to accept the changes or cancel the booking and receive a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel the booking due to circumstances amounting to Force Majeure. These include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, fire, war, riot, terrorism, government action, strike action, and all similar events outside our control which prevent or affect our contractual obligation.
Where such circumstances occur, the company will not be liable to pay any refund or compensation. In activities involving animals, our priority is their welfare. Should the physical condition of the animals not be suitable for the activity, we reserve the right to modify/delay or cancel the activity. If cancelled, a refund will be issued in full.
